ULMA reaffirms its commitment to Health and Safety at Work

Apr 28, 2025
Today, 28th April, we celebrate World Day for Safety and Health at Work, with the aim of reflecting on and promoting the prevention of workplace accidents.

At ULMA, we are aware that ensuring health and safety in the workplace is a constant, daily task that requires expert personnel dedicated to this field, the necessary resources, as well as continuous training and increased awareness.

It is for this reason that the prevention of occupational risks is strongly integrated into ULMA Construction's activity. Our membership of the industrial sector, one of the fields with the highest number of occupational incidents, requires resources and constant efforts to minimise the risk of accidents and illness. Taking this reality into account, we have set ourselves the corporate objective of having ZERO serious accidents, an objective we achieved in 2024.

Furthermore, as an example of ULMA Construction's work in this field, we have been ISO 45001 certified at our headquarters since 2020, and also at our offices in Poland and Peru.

This determination to improve prevention has led us to close the year 2024 with a corporate incidence rate of 33.21, a reduction of one point compared to 2023. By way of reference, the industry incidence rate of the Basque Autonomous Community in 2024 was 66.45, illustrating the positive nature of the above figure.

The objectives, processes and actions mentioned in this news item are just a sample of the organisation's commitment and daily efforts to ensure safe and healthy working environments, something it is committed to continuing to look after and improve.
