Stuttgart has two new office buildings with an area of 62,000 m². Unmüssig BA2, one of them, with a 6-storey will house the headquarters of the health insurance company Halleschen. It has a modern underground car park with more than 600 parking spaces, part of the mobility concept. The building is characterised by a façade design with a high architectural standard. The aim of the development of this office area is to create an inspiring community that enhances the quality of life and work.
ULMA solution
Unmüssig BA2 is one of the projects that have been carried out with ONADEK slab formwork in Germany. This is not the first project in which the Züblin construction company has used this system. According to Jan Sebastian Schulten, Project Manager, Züblin, ONADEK impressed them with its numerous advantages. "Compared to classic flex formwork, ONADEK is characterised by a smaller transport volume and simple and fast assembly. Compared to a modular formwork, although it has similar features, such as the possibility of early striking, it convinces with considerably lower costs. I am impressed by how easy it is to assemble the grid and to strike the formwork.
Another requirement of the project was to build the enclosure walls over two storeys in one go, and the wall formwork required for this only has to be able to be operated from one side. For this reason, BATEK modular formwork was used.
After the experience on the Unmüssig BA2 construction site, Jan Sebastian Schulten says, "I will use ONADEK again on similar projects, as it combines the advantages of modular formwork with those of flexible formwork".
