A new Vermella Building underway in New Brunswick, NJ
The modern living concept has successfully spread throughout commuter-friendly locations and downtown centers in northern New Jersey, with eight communities currently home to loyal Vermella residents and more on the way. Thanks to jaw-dropping indoor and outdoor amenities typically only found in upscale resorts and hotels, these luxury rental communities, where every detail has thoughtfully been considered, continue to draw renters who want an elevated lifestyle with a focus on comfort, convenience, and achieving the ideal live-work-play balance.
Many of the Vermella buildings located in different parts of NJ were awarded with Urban Land Institute Use Excellence Awards and New Jersey Builders Association.
The contractor utilized the ENKOFLEX system to support a variety of concrete thicknesses ranging from 12-inch slabs to 42-inch beams. ENKOFLEX is a beam slab formwork system adaptable to almost any slab type and height configuration. Independent beams provide great versatility, and the system is ideal for slabs and beams of varying dimensions. The contractor chose MEGAFRAME system for the slab support over the ramps that reached up to 24 feet in height. MEGAFRAME is a 10,000 pound per leg or (20,000 per frame) galvanized steel frame handset system.
For the forming, the contractor utilized the MEGALITE system to form the cores and columns in the building up to 12 feet in height. This is a vertical formwork system for handset and gang forming applications, utilizing quick connecting clamps to join panels together.
