The First Hyatt Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee

In the up-and-coming small town of Chattanooga Tennessee lies a new Hyatt hotel under construction designed as an upscale, lifestyle hotel with the self-activation capabilities of a select-service property. This hotel has 5 floors with a total of 123 rooms with a rooftop restaurant/bar, small stores and meeting space.

ULMA is proud to provide forming and climbing solutions for this hotel by using systems like MEGAFORM, KSP platform and CLIMBING BRACKETS. The Caption by Hyatt hotel was a project filled with complex situations that required the reassurance of our engineering team and salesmen.

ULMA Solution:

The Hyatt hotel franchise is being introduced to the city of Chattanooga for the first time and is being introduced as a new modern hotel. ULMA was able to provide the MEGAFORM system, a strong versatile system with durable material. A perfect formwork system for walls and columns for building construction and civil work, which was also accompanied by KSP platform inside of the column. This system was a simple solution for supporting shaft internal formwork or walkway. With our MEGAFORM panels the turnover was fast and efficient with each lift making it possible to allow the construction to go by quicker. One final equipment used on this jobsite was our CLIMBING BRCKET BMK, a crane lifted climbing bracket that’s adaptable to inclined and curved walls with available platforms for safety and cone recovery.
