We continue to evolve in order to be more competitive, to keep on building your trust
Digitalisation promotes cost-effectiveness, productivity and process efficiency by optimising the allocation of resources and greater adaptability to needs. Let's learn about the impact of digitalisation on the development of different applications and services designed to improve efficiency and customer service.
What is the current digital scenario at ULMA?
The development and implementation of digital tools is an ongoing process throughout the organisation, as well as the standardisation of processes and procedures. The integration of the different tools in a single working environment offers us increased efficiency, automation and quality in project realisation and, consequently, improvements in our customer service.
What does this implementation consist of?
It consists of developing and equipping the organisation with corporate tools to optimise and standardise the implementation of projects.
We work on engineering projects in a BIM (Building Information Modelling) environment, integrating our own formwork and scaffolding system configurators. We are also using tools that provide high precision, such as laser scanning, which allows us to obtain an exact digital replica of the building or structure. A 3D model is then designed to facilitate a more efficient scaffolding application study. As such, in addition to the improvement in the time dedicated to measuring and carrying out the project, it provides improvements in terms of logistical organisation and calculation of the supply of materials needed on site, which favours cost savings and greater productivity.
What steps are being taken to advance this standardisation and implementation process?
We attach great importance to training everyone in the organisation, both in the use of these tools and in adapting their work to the 3D and BIM environment. As such, we continuously design and deliver different e‑learning sessions aimed at all the teams involved in this digital implementation process.
What are the benefits of integrating digital tools?
The integration of these digital tools introduces substantial improvements in the management and coordination between the technical, logistical and commercial areas. In addition, the integration of these tools with our ERP allows us to have the necessary and updated information accessible at all times in each area of the organisation's work. Processes such as the preparation of offers and technical studies, demand planning and supplying our customers with materials are interconnected and share the same updated information.
This is all summed up in our main objective, to provide a more efficient and quality service to our customers.
What other digital services do we provide to our customers?
We continue to adapt and develop some of our technical‑commercial tools for external use, taking into account our customers as users so that they are simple, practical and intuitive to use. We will soon be adding new services in a new design space designed for them called Studio Suite, where, in addition to our 3D‑BIM modelling environment, we will incorporate our automatic scaffolding and formwork configurators for the realisation of optimised and safe solutions.
