509 3rd Avenue Residential Tower

509 Third Avenue is the newest residential addition in Murray Hill, NY. The 36-story building will offer 229 residential units, 8,253 sq. ft. of commercial space, and a 30-foot yard.

The structure is 386’ tall and is located in a popular neighborhood in Manhattan. Murray Hill is home to various dining options, coffee shops, parks, bars, and entertainment.

The area is known for its beautiful brownstones, townhouses, and mid-rise condo buildings with an active lifestyle and an influx of diverse cultures.

ULMA provided the Drophead Slab Shoring System FORMADECK throughout the building covering approximately 200,000 sq. ft. Some areas, including slab steps and thicker slab portions, were constructed using the H20 beam and Aluminum Joist Slab Shoring System ENKOFLEX, offering ease of use and flexibility.

FORMADECK provides a quick and efficient method to shore large footprints, and ENKOFLEX delivers versatility. Together, ULMA can safely and efficiently solve almost any situation. The minimum shoring height provided was 9’6”, and the maximum was 16’-0”.
