Providing optimal shoring solutions enhancing the structural element of this building
A 385,510 square foot warehouse building with 3 levels and an additional 37,000 square foot parking lot.

Description

In the city that never sleeps lies a 385,510 square foot warehouse building with 3 levels and an additional 37,000 square foot parking lot in 683 Court St. in Brooklyn, NY. The Red Hook Logistic Center was designed to suit any and every kind of logistic configuration overlooking a waterfront in a historical industrial neighborhood. ULMA decided to assist with this project by providing optimal shoring solutions enhancing the structural element of this building. Providing solutions to a site of this magnitude involved multiple meetings on how each system could be optimally applied to support the complex nature of this project.

ULMA Solution

Beginning with the 4-level parking garage allowed us to use our ENKOFLEX towers and MEGAFRAME SYSTEM to support slabs and beams varying between 16” to 36” in depth.  In addition to the slab support, our ALUPROP towers were incorporated into the project to support drop panels for heights up to 33’.  Our ALUPROPS provided a high load-bearing capacity with a lightweight aluminum post shore supporting horizontal formwork and meeting multiple shoring and reshoring requirements.  To achieve heights of 33’, our ALUPROPS were stacked and braced accordingly to accommodate the high loads required to support the structure. The core wall, shear wall, and column forming on this jobsite was supported with our MEGALITE SYSTEM in heights up to 16’.
